Description

‘Vertical Adventure Park, Masai Pathar-Jeur’ is an adventure sport project started by Jeur Joint Forest Management Committee and Forest Department Kolhapur, Government of Maharashtra. The aim of the project is to uplift Kolhapur as a tourist place and making Panhala as a tourist destination by creating innovatiive and amazing adventure sports park and creating job and business opportunities for local youth and residents of nearby villages.

The adventure park is situated adjoining to Masai Devi Plateau (Pathar). Panhala is a taluka place situated in the northern part of Kolhapur district on the Kolhapur- Ratnagiri road on Sahyadri Mountain range at 2772 meter height. It is naturally famous for it’s historical importance in the life history of Shivaji Maharaj. Besides, it is visited by many locals and tourists as being the only motorable Fort and Hill Station. To give a new flavor of adventure to the blooming tourism in this area, the ‘Vertical Adventure Park’ project has been setup and started in June 2018. The surrounding area is full of rich bio-diversity, scenic nature and the climate is very refreshing throughout the year.

This makes ‘Vertical Adventure Park, Masai Pathar – Jeur’ a must visit destination.

This amazing adventure sports park is not only for those who are always looking to enjoy life out of the frame and crazy to do something new every time but, also for every family member. People have an option of staying in tented accomodation amidst the wonderful nature or in near by lodges or home stays and enjoy another day in Panhala.

Vertical Adventure Park- Jeur is initially created across 1 hectare land area which covers Jeur and Masai Plateau. The park has initially a set up of adventure sports like a 800 feet Zip Line, Sports Climbing, Rappelling, High Rope Course (9 Obstacles) , Slack line, Bungee Ejection, Zorbing, Parasailing, Paramotoring etc.

The sports activities have been developed on the natural ups and downs of the mountain which gives very natural feel of thrilling activities.
